Senior Clinical Consultants – Expressions of Interest (Substantive Roles)

At 33n, we work alongside the NHS to design and deliver transformation programmes that improve patient care, support staff, and optimise services. As the team behind the National CLEAR Programme, we combine deep clinical expertise with data, technology and change management to help health and care organisations tackle their biggest challenges.

We’re building an ongoing pipeline of Senior Clinical Consultants to join our growing team in substantive roles. We welcome expressions of interest from clinicians and/or consultants with a strong interest in healthcare transformation. If you’re an experienced clinician and/or consultant with a passion for service improvement, data-driven decision making and collaborative change, we’d love to hear from you.

About the role

As a Senior Clinical Consultant at 33n, you will:

  • Lead and support transformation projects across the NHS, from scoping through to delivery and evaluation.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, partners and clients to co-design sustainable improvements in pathways, workforce, and models of care.
  • Use data and insight to inform decision making and communicate recommendations clearly to clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of our methodologies, tools and programmes, helping to shape the future of our work.

These roles are senior, specialist positions suited to clinicians and consultants who are confident working across clinical, operational and strategic settings, and who enjoy a mix of independent work and collaborative team delivery.

About you

We’re particularly interested in hearing from clinicians and/or consultants who can demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills – able to write and present clearly, convincingly and with impact.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, achieving favourable outcomes while maintaining positive, collaborative partnerships.
  • Outstanding organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise your own workload (and that of others) and meet tight or competing deadlines.
  • Calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure, working effectively with fluctuating workloads and multiple projects.
  • High emotional intelligence, including self-awareness, empathy and strong social skills to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, responding positively to challenges and seeking out learning opportunities (including use of online resources).
  • Patient-centred focus and attention to detail, with a commitment to high-quality care outcomes and high standards in all deliverables.
  • High energy and a proactive attitude to working with public sector clients, with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence using collaboration tools such as MS Teams, Miro, CRM platforms, Monday.com or similar.

Previous consultancy experience is welcome but not essential if you can demonstrate equivalent skills and mindset, either from clinical roles or other relevant experience.
