Project Manager

Fulltime, permanent, remote

We are looking for a Project Manager with the energy and drive to lead our delivery team as we build on our success delivering the National CLEAR Programme. You’ll be proactive, highly organised and able to motivate others through a sometimes challenging programme of work.

Main responsibilities:

  • Understand and establish project objectives, deliverables, and dependencies.
  • Develop and communicate project plans with the team including action logs.
  • Manage risks and issues effectively, including escalation where needed.
  • Track and update plans with project work and report on the progress of projects regularly.
  • Help with resource planning, allocation of work and tracking tasks for project teams.
  • Have input on and report on resourcing for project budgets.
  • Manage and motivate teams.
  • Establish excellent working relationships with clients, stakeholders and project sponsors.
  • Establish effective communications across the project delivery and build strong working relationships with other departments.
  • Coordinate cross departmental working and communicate where there are inter-dependencies.
  • Implement problem solving and decision making.
  • Ensure that the project delivers against its pre-defined objectives and success criteria.
  • An ability to understand complex requirements across a broad range of clinical, technical and educational activities within the project.

Experience and skills:

  • Planning and organising
    Developing clear and logical project plans that state what needs to happen and the timing necessary. Assess project risks and build appropriate contingency plans.
  • Motivation & Leadership
    Able to rise to a challenge and lead project teams in a way that builds high morale, generates ownership of tasks and creates understanding of project objectives.
  • Teamwork
    Work with others to solve business problems. Proactively identify and use the strengths and skills of the team members.
  • Problem solving
    Break down problems into their component parts and identify the key issues and seek appropriate resolution of problems.
  • Communication
    Ensure relevant and timely communication of plans, work and listen to project team members and customer requirements. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Specialist Skills:

  • Prince 2 Practitioner or similar
  • Knowledge of office 365 including MS Project
  • Knowledge of Power BI and Jira would be desirable

Salary £55,000 per year
